The project developed evidence-based tools and processes to enhance outreach practices targeting undocumented migrants in Europe. It facilitated comprehensive data collection and analysis on this vulnerable group, which culminated in an interactive dashboard that displays profiles, needs, and migration intentions of 1,000 migrants in Belgium and France. Additionally, the project promoted peer exchanges among national authorities through initiatives such as field study visits and roundtable discussions.
These activities produced a programmatic blueprint and country-specific reports highlighting best outreach practices. To further support informed policymaking, the project conducted focus group sessions, interviews, and internal mapping exercises, leading to the developing of a policy brief that examines the diversity of initiatives, actors, and practices in this field. A monitoring and evaluation framework was also created for frontline workers to improve accessibility to voluntary return options. Lastly, the project delivered a hands-on training module focused on outreach and counselling with undocumented migrants experiencing mental
health challenges and harmful substance use issues.
