Airport Facilities Assessment Study

The arrival phase at the airport in the country of origin and overall good cooperation with third-country authorities are key for successful return operations. It is hence important to ensure that structures and facilities are available at the relevant airports with the intention of facilitating and improving reception and post-arrival services for voluntary and non-voluntary returnees.

In this context, the RRF is focuses on mapping reception capacities in pre-selected countries of origin to identify existing reception structures and possible gaps or needs for improvement. The project mainly aims at facilitating and improving the management and sustainability of the return and reintegration processes by assessing reception facilities and services available in countries of origin.
